God I love Aubrey’s rambles where she starts her thesis and then each thought spills over into the next and just as you’re starting to forget the original point she’s just like
“Ahem. Anyways, yes.”
so i’ve listened to the first five episodes of amnesty mostly while i’ve been driving (bc i’ve been doing a lot of driving in the past two days) and, honestly, it makes the experience so much more surreal bc driving down the highway at 8:30 at night, being one of the only cars on the road, listening to people find out that cryptids are real, and then going to pick up dinner from one of the local places and walking out to see that a fog has settled so thickly that i can barely see more than ten feet in front of me and continuing to listen to that podcast while driving through quiet backroads is,,,,,, pretty cool tbh
In the scene where Indrid gives Billy nog and Billy starts washing his hands with it to Indrid’s total amusement, Travis points out that Indrid knew that was going to happen, and Griffin says that Indrid doesn’t know everything. But in my mind, Indrid had to have seen it in at least one possible future and he took that plunge hoping that’s the future he’d get and, boy, did he hit the jackpot
Griffin: We’re probably about halfway through Amnesty at this point-
Me: *slides a crisp hundo and some foil pokemon cards across the table*
Griffin: - but it’s all pretty freeform, so it’s hard to say for sure.
